Release of CNSSI 1253

Monday, October 19, 2009

The Committee on National Security Systems, responsible for the standards used by National Security Systems,  released CNSS Instruction 1253: Security Categorization and Controls Selection.

The document's release is a key step in the C&A transformation strategy of the DNI.

CNSSI 1253 leverages the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Standard Publication 800-53 Security Controls Catalog.  The document guides developers of National Security Systems by specifying options in the NIST document's security controls.

Review it at CNSS's web site.

"At Tenacity, it's true that their people are the most important. Before joining Tenacity I had always heard that they truly take care of their people, and after spending one year with them, it's true. Tenacity recognizes that without the people there is no Tenacity. If you want to join a company that is passionate about their people, Tenacity is the place. People matter!"
